Biographical Info: Ritwij Shandilya is the author of Fiction & Non Fiction based in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Best known for his work, "La Couronne De Kanchipuram" , Ritwij is one of the youngest world record holder of the world & the youngest indian to write a french novel.
He is also one of the youngest award winning author of the country & a world record holder. Ritwij was named , India’s most impactful author for the year 2017-18 by Indian Awaz and he is the author of 3 books till now named as - "Its All About Fiction, La Couronne De Kanchipuram & The Rise Of Queen Revathi".
Q1.Hi Ritwij, thank you for agreeing to this interview. Tell us a little about yourself and your background?
Ans : Hey, very thanks for this interview. Okay, so I am from the capital city of Bihar and currently based in Taj City - Agra. My mother is a banker & father is an LIC officer as well as an author. It might feel hard to digest but its true, I am just 16 years old. I am an author , world record holder & a key note speaker. I write in French as well as English. My first book was a fiction writing guide & second one was a french novel. Recently I have released my third book named "The Rise Of Queen Revathi".
Q2.Your every readers and me also wanted to know, Do you write every single day?
Ans:Well , nice question. You all are right. I used to write , I am writing & I will be writing every single day because this is the thing which keeps me energetic and alive. This is my life.
Q3. How did you begin writing? Did you intend to become an author, or do you have a specific reason or reasons for writing each book?
Ans::-Frankly speaking , I never dreamt of being an author. All this came in a sudden. I attended a fiction writing workshop by Sharath Komarraju and I learnt a lot there and his personality inspired me a lot. So from that day , i started writing and now till date , I am the author of 3 books.
Q4. What period of your life do you find you write about most often? (child, teenager, young adult)
Ans:Ofcourse , teenager.
Q5. What was an early experience where you learned that language had power?
Ans:After I started writing , I was also following some of the great personalities like Arnab Goswami , Namita Gokhale , Sharath Komarraju and Dr Arun Kamal. Their personalities & writing style helped me feel that Language has power.
Q6. If you could tell your younger writing self anything, what would it be?
Ans:Firstly I would suggest them to read some best selling novels. I would suggest to read “ Inheritance Of Loss by Kiran Desai & Winds of Hastinapur by Sharth Komarraju “ . This will level up their vocabulary skills as well as it will enhance theirwriting style.
Second , I would say that write from your heart not from your mind and one day you will be a best seller.

Q7. Tell us some more about your book.?
Ans:The Rise Of Queen Revathi is an epic based on my fictional charater “ Queen Revathi “ of Kanchipuram.
This is the story of love , war & betrayal.
The story revolves around King Adesha , King Adhikar , Chief Anirudha and Revathi. This is a true epic & its written in third person considering the time period of 16h century.
The book is available world wide in more than 200 e commerce websites. My dream is to turn this book in a movie .
Q8. Tell us about your upcoming books?
Ans:Im planning to write a book on Arnab Goswami & my forth book will be a non fiction named “ The Hungry Young Man” . Very soon i will bring the third part of Kanchipuram triology too.
Q9. Which actor/actress would you like to see playing the lead character from your most recent book?
Ans:I would love to have Aditi Rao Hydari playing the lead character of my novel “ The Rise Of Queen Revathi”
Q10. What was your hardest scene to write?
Ans:Dialogues , I think this was my hardest scene to write.
Q11. What’s the best way to market your books?
Ans:Facebook promotions I think are the best way to market our books.
Q12. Any last thoughts for our readers?
