Shiwani- When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
Book Basket Authors – Writing comes as a stressbuster and most loved hobby to us. We use to scribble and
write blogs on an array of topics. When we discussed the central idea of our book, we decided
to pen it down and get it published.
Shiwani- How long does it take you to write a book?
Book Basket Authors – Writing this particular book took us a span of around four months.
Shiwani- What is your work schedule like when you’re writing?
Book Basket Authors – Mr. Arreja is a banker and a teacher. Mrs Hukmani is a full time mom of a toddler so
basically, we’d wait until the day gets over and we’d burn the night lamp with numerous cups of
coffee and discuss the chapters and proofread. Since both of us are living in two different
countries we had time zone differences and zoom meetings to arrange each day. It was a
journey to remember.
Shiwani- Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?
Book Basket Authors – There is no better inspiration than life. The experiences we have of our own and also of
those we have met in this journey. Moreover, we are avid readers so we collected the pouring
learnings with both the hands and tried to blend them in our story.
Shiwani- When did you write your first book and how old were you?
Book Basket Authors – This is our first fiction. However Mr. Arreja has written an academic book in the year
Shiwani- What do you like to do when you’re not writing?
Book Basket Authors – When we are not writing, we are reading , researching , collecting new ideas and
spending time with the family.
Shiwani- What does your family think of your writing?
Book Basket Authors – Our family takes pride in our work and they are our best critics as well. They inspire and
encourage us to keep going.
Shiwani- What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?
Book Basket Authors – The most surprising element of this book writing journey was the acknowledgement of the
fact that we are mere puppets in hands of a superior power. What we consider as our credits
and our success or failures are actually not ours. We have been designated to perform those
tasks and we are playing that role. Another aspect that we practice and preach is “ God is
always around, we just need the eyes to identify him.” We have experienced this in our real lives
and it stands true to all of us.
Shiwani- Do you have any suggestions to help me become a better writer? If so, what are they?
Book Basket Authors – Recognise the soul of your writing. Every work of art has a soul that is delivered by the
artist to its audience. If you are able to send the message successfully, consider the job done.
Someone once said, creativity is not a competition, so don’t be disheartened by failures or
setbacks. Keep learning, each day we evolve as a better version of ourselves.
Shiwani- Does your family support your career as a writer?
Book Basket Authors Yes, definitely they do support us. This book wouldn’t have been a success without
Shiwani- When are you writing your next book?
Book Basket Authors- Soon! The ideas keep popping and many of them are in the pipeline for discussion.
