Md. Ikbal

Today I’m very lucky to be interviewing with you

Shiwani :- Hello, Tell us a little about yourself? Perhaps something not many people know?
Md. Ikbal :- I am a very simple person, who is a Visionary not missionary. I love to earn people.
I am the epitome of emotions, I can’t see people suffering from pain and sadness. I always wish I could heal their pain or I could share.

Shiwani :- What was an early experience where you learned that language had power?
Md. Ikbal :- I can not meet many people in life, Stories are the only medium wherein I can feel others life, experience and journey. I could feel their pain, sorrow and their happiness & No story is narrated without language. Yes, language has power to change the world.

Shiwani :- How did you begin writing? Did you intend to become an author, or do you have a specific reason or reasons for writing each book?
Md. Ikbal :- When I was 17, I was watching a Movie “Umrav Jan” with my father and mother at my home, I felt the pain of that character, I cried seeing the situation of the character and I felt it like writing her pain through poem.
I wrote 10 pages poem on that character and showed it to my father. He read it and appreciated my work.
Since that day I started writing pain that afflicted and forsaken character made me to write.
I never intended to become a writer, writers are gifted, I am just trying to narrate stories.
The Love and support of my friends and well-wishers are motivating me to become the One.
Reason to write each book is, there are many untold stories which are yet to be told. I wish I could share a person’s pain to another person through my pen.

Shiwani :- What was your hardest scene to write?
Md. Ikbal :- Of course, the ending and the last 15 pages of my Novel were hardest, I closed the door and requested my friends to go out. I made myself so alone, So that I could write these last 15 pages with immense pain. I felt that character personally, that made my eyes glued.

Shiwani :- What does the title mean?
Md. Ikbal :- The last moment of everything you loved in life.

Shiwani :- Is romance essential for a book to be commercially viable? How much do you think romance influences the success of a novel?
Md. Ikbal :- Since, Romance is the part and parcel of every person, it touches their hearts, they feel your story, they relate themselves, they put their legs in the novel’s characters shoes. A story which can arise the memories of past or present of a person is the most influential one and that’s none other than Romantic novels.

Shiwani :- Was the character inspired by a real person? If so, then who?
Md. Ikbal :- No, It’s a fiction. But it happened with many persons generally.

Shiwani :- What do you think happened to the characters after the book ended?
Md. Ikbal :- The next Novel will reveal it soon.

Shiwani :- What is the message in your books? What are your readers’ reactions to it?
Md. Ikbal :- Spread the love it costs none, Alway trust your heart and yes things happen for a reason.
you meet people for a reason, find it or leave it to the universe, but live it to the fullest.

Shiwani :- What are the most important elements of good writing? According to you, what tools are must-haves for writers?
Md. Ikbal :- Imagination, thought process, experiences, meeting different people, travelling, and the most effective part is, A writer has to be an emotional soul, who could sense and understand others.

Shiwani :- What is your writing process? Do you follow a regular routine?
Md. Ikbal :- I meet people, I hear their stories and I write. But routine depends upon the situation, there is no defined process as such.

Shiwani :- What is the future for the characters? Will there be a sequel?
Md. Ikbal :- Yes, definitely, the new story will reveal so many things.

Shiwani :- What was your favourite part and your least favourite part, of the publishing journey?
Md. Ikbal :- When I started writing, it felt like I am doing something very different, But after completion of this book I was hesitant to publish it.
There was a time when I was least bothered to take it further. But the day I was narrating this story to my wife, It left her astonished and that day I decided to publish it.
If it was not influencing my wife as a reader, I would have never published it.

Shiwani :- What do your plans for future projects include?
Md. Ikbal :- I have been working on many projects for now. I hope you will see a new story in the coming 2-3 months.

Shiwani :- Any last thoughts for our readers?
Md. Ikbal :- Love is beautiful, feel it, live it and let it be. just go with the flow, finding out the reason of its success or failure is futile.
Few things are always destined just live it and smile.

Thank you very much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to take part in this interview.
